Phone and Internet Outage at RVS Schools

As of 4:45 p.m., Oct. 2, 2024, RVS continues to experience technical issues impacting phones and the Internet at all schools due to a fibre optic cable being cut near Calgary. Schools remain open and classes will continue without Internet access. For urgent messages, parents/guardians can contact the school principal and/or assistant principal through email which will be received on their phones. An email has been sent to all RVS families with more information.

Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome, Kindergarten students and parents! As we embark on this year together, we extend a warm embrace to each of you. Your journey through Kindergarten will be marked by growth, friendship, and academic achievement, and we are thrilled to support you in making the most of this school year. Let's make memories, celebrate accomplishments, and have fun while pursuing our personal best. Welcome to an unforgettable kindergarten year!

A family atmosphere prevails at Cooper's Crossing with the education of your child being a shared responsibility. We encourage your interest in what your child does each day and welcome your involvement in the classroom, school council, and at home.

Tips for Parents

  1. Ensure your child is getting an adequate nights rest. Children require 10 to 12 hours in order to appropriately function the next day.
  2. Children learn best when they eat a healthy breakfast and have nutritious foods for snack and lunch.
  3. Open communication with your child's homeroom teacher is key. Please reach out to them with any questions or concerns.

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
